Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel followed by 12 months in used oak barrels and a further six months of bottle ageing.
Dark ruby. Aromatic nose of blackcurrant, cherry, blueberry, blackberry, cedar, lavender and pepper. Succulent and complex on the palate, with silky tannins, firm elegance and long finish.
Thanks to the exceptional geology and local climate at their disposal, Tenuta Il Palagio are able to produce some exceptional and unique wines. Abundant sunshine and sufficient rainfall result in high-quality Tuscan fruit born of meagre limestone terroir.
