Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Cold maceration ('cold soak') followed by fermentation and gentle pressing. Subsequent 12-month maturation in small oak barrels.
Medium ruby colour. Fresh, pure Pinot fruit on the nose, with strawberry and red cherry as well as violet and a hint of oak. Finely structured and persistent on the palate, with juicy acidity and harmonious tannins. Subtle roasted notes complement the finish.
Daniel and Monika Marugg's vineyards are situated in the municipality of Fläsch. Their soils at the foot of the Fläscherberg and Falknis mountains, together with the mild climate of the Bündner Herrschaft region, offer ideal growing conditions.
