Pinot Gris / Grauburgunder

Pinot Gris does particularly well on loess and on calcareous and stony soils, resulting in a low-acid, full-bodied, extract-rich white wine with an appealing nose – sometimes showing hints of honey or almond. Belying the grape’s modest acidity, the palate is often lovely and fresh, with delicate notes of pear and peach. Pinot Gris works especially well as an aperitif or with fish.
