Viognier
This white grape is cultivated mainly in the Rhône Valley but is also becoming increasingly popular as a niche variety in Italy, California, South Africa and Australia. Viognier tends to have a relatively deeper colour and a striking flavour profile. Expect aromatic notes of apricot, peach and blossom (particularly violet and May blossom).
