Maturation for 11 months in first-use French oak barrels. The juice fermented in these vessels over a four-month period. This was followed by malolactic fermentation. No fining or filtering.
Stone fruit, ripe white fruit, fine minerality, and roasted notes on the nose. Rich and complex on the palate, with good structure, lovely fruit expression, elegance, and perfectly integrated acidity.
Pratt Vineyard is situated in the Russian River Valley AVA – an appellation that benefits from maritime influences and a cool climate, resulting in outstanding Burgundian varietal wines. Jim Pratt owns and farms the vineyard. A mere four rows of clone 15 were planted and cultivated on behalf of Cattleya, with the aim of producing the best possible Chardonnay fruit.
