Selective manual harvest followed by maceration (skin contact). Fermentation, including malolactic fermentation, in stainless steel vessels. Addition of dried Amarone grapes a few months later to trigger a second fermentation that will increase the alcohol level and give the wine greater extract. Subsequent maturation in French oak for 12 months.
Deep ruby. Intense nose of aromatic forest fruit, ripe cherry and dried plum. Gentle, balanced, balsamic and fresh entry on the palate. Velvety tannins and tremendous balance, with a long, delicious finish.
Sourced from plots situated 100 to 350 metres above sea level, where the soils are mainly comprised of limestone, marl and clay.
