Hand-picked and hand-selected grapes. Fermentation followed by gentle pressing. Subsequent maturation for 20 months in brand-new French oak barrels.

Deep ruby. A majestic wine of great purity, quality and breed. Remarkably rich notes of blackberry, blueberry and black cherry, complemented by a hint of spring flowers as well as cocoa powder, forest floor and minerals. This wine has a long drinking window, reflecting the time needed for all its component elements to integrate seamlessly.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Champoux, Palengat and Wallula Gap vineyards. Champoux, situated at an elevation of between 600 and 800 metres, is one of the oldest vineyards in Washington State. Palengat has an extremely varied range of soils and was planted between 1999 and 2002. It belongs to the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Wallula Gap is one of Washington State's warmest vineyards and has soils predominantly consisting of loam and basalt.
