Selective harvest followed by a cold maceration ('cold soak'). Fermentation in open-top fermenters. Gentle pressing then maturation for 12 months in French oak barrels.

Rich, vibrant aromas of blackcurrant and black fruit with a hint of vanilla and spice. Red and violet fruit on the palate, supported by a rich, earthy undertone and fine, silky tannins. This lends excellent structure, tremendous length and aromatic persistence.

Boasting a beautiful landscape of gentle hills as well as a Mediterranean climate offering just the right amount of winter rainfall, Clare Valley is a unique place that has played a singular role in the history of Australian wine.
